EASTER BUN RECIPE

Hazelnut Easter Buns Recipe


Easter buns are made because Easter is a festival of resurrection for Christians and it is celebrated in spring, when nature is reborn. Easter bun made from a mixture of oil, milk, eggs, flour, yeast and sugar; It is mahaleb and chewing gum that gives people its wonderful smell that attracts people. Let's go to the kitchen...


Note: If the ingredients are at room temperature, the dough will have a better consistency. You can add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to make the bun even more fluffy.

 

List of Materials


For the dough

3 eggs

125 g melted butter

½ cup of sugar

1 teaspoon of powdered sugar

500 gr flour (average 5 cups)

½ cup of warm water

½ cup of warm milk

1 tablespoon of powdered yeast (can also be made with half a pack of fresh yeast)

2 teaspoons of mahaleb

1 teaspoon of salt


For the above

1 egg yolk

1 teaspoon of yogurt

net nuts


Step 1: Let's Get Started Now

  • Put the yeast, warm water and warm milk in a deep bowl, dissolve the yeast and leave it for 10 minutes.

  • We sift the flour into the dough kneading bowl and open the middle like a pool.

  • We add the yeast mixture and all the other ingredients that have been waiting for 10 minutes in the middle and start kneading.

  • After all the ingredients are combined and a soft dough is obtained, we cover the dough with a damp cloth and leave it for an average of 1 hour.

  • Divide the dough into three equal parts.

  • We prepare 20 cm long rolls of dough and glue the 3 rolls together at the ends, weave them in the form of a hair braid and connect the other ends.

  • Let's put egg yolk and yogurt on it and sprinkle with hazelnuts.


Step 2: Let's Cook

  • Let's lay the greaseproof paper on our Vulom Cast Iron Skillet and place the donuts by leaving a little space between them.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 340 degrees until golden brown.
