HOW TO SEASON
CAST IRON SKILLET
Is the seasoning of your skillet damaged?
Did you accidentally wash the product in the dishwasher?
Or did you not use it for a long time and it got rusty due to humidity?
Don't worry, here's the formula to reset your skillet

If you need to renew the seasoning of your cast iron skillet for any reason, you can follow the steps below:
-
If there is no rust on your skillet, wash and dry it well, and then season it with a thin layer of oil with a high smoke point (see recommended oils).
-
If there is rust on the inner or outer surface, first clean the affected area with sandpaper, then wash and dry the skillet well, and then season it with oil.
-
Before starting the seasoning process, heat the skillet on the stove for 2-3 minutes on medium heat, or place it in a preheated oven at 210 Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
-
Coat the skillet with a thin layer of oil with a high smoke point (see recommended oils), making sure to cover all surfaces.
-
Place the skillet in a preheated oven at 475 Fahrenheit with the inner surface facing down.
-
After one hour, turn off the oven, but leave the skillet inside without opening the door until it cools down.
-
You can repeat this process 2 or 3 times if desired to build up a good seasoning layer.
